2021 Dragons of Malaysia is open for entries, here’s what you need to know

The 21st Dragons of Asia awards which also marks the 9th Dragons of Malaysia, is officially accepting entries for its 2021 Dragon Awards until 15 May.

According to the organisers of WARC London, Dragons of Asia are positioned alongside prestigious global effectiveness awards, such as the Cannes Lions, the IPA Effectiveness Awards, the MAA Worldwide GLOBES, and the Effies. This year, the theme for the marketing and communications awards is Re-Set: Re-calibrate: Re-Start.

“We’ve all witnessed the devastating effect of Covid-19 in the way we live, the way we socialise, and the way we work (and) in our industry, brand owners and their agencies have faced unprecedented challenges in caring for their staff and their businesses,” the awards website reads. “Our marketing industry is resilient, and over the past few months we’ve received news from colleagues all over Asia that things are starting to return to what’s being called, a ‘Re-set’.”

This year, the organisers of Dragons of Asia have also introduced a category, the ‘Diamond Eyed Platinum Dragon’ which will recognise an individual in any marketing discipline, in an Agency or Client Company, in any country in
APAC, who, over the last 20 years or more, has been instrumental in shaping the Marketing Industry.

The winner for this category will be judged based on their clear leadership and management skills, a relentless focus on results, a champion and influencer of new innovation and trends.

As for the Dragons of Malaysia, the organisers will be accepting entries that were operational between 31 January 2019 and 15 May 2021. Entries can be entered in more than one Category but the content must to be tailored to meet the entry criteria for each Category.
