Alleged Intel Core i7-13700HX Appears On Geekbench

New specification details allegedly belonging to what appears to be the Intel Core i7-13700HX mobile CPU recently made their way to Geekbench. Interestingly enough, the processor’s core and thread count is identical to the chipmaker’s 12th generation Core i9-12900HX, among other things.

To be precise, the 13700HX will have a 16-cores, 24-threads configuration, of which eight of them are P-Cores, presumably Raptor Cove, while the remaining eight are Gracemont-based E-Cores. Further, its base clock is listed at 2.1GHz, while the boost clock is 4966MHz, which we’re guessing is 5GHz.

It should also be mentioned that the 13700HX and its details were submitted via a Lenovo laptop that could possibly be part of the brand’s Legion sub-brand. The list also shows that the CPU was paired with 16GB DDR5 RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU, although the latter isn’t really exciting. Frankly, it would be more interesting if the discrete graphics were an RTX 40 Series mobile GPU, but it is unlikely that we will be seeing such a product until next year.

Moving on, the alleged 13700HX scored 1866 points on Geekbench’s Single-core test and 15181 points on the multi-core test, both being slight improvements in performance over another 12th generation Intel mobile CPU, the 12950HX.

This isn’t the first time news of a 13th generation mobile CPU has leaked, and one with regards to an HX-Series CPU. Prior to the 13700HX, we reported that Razer currently has an 18-inch Blade laptop in the pipelines but more importantly, it was also the first time the report referenced an unreleased Core i9-13900HX CPU. Specs-wise, the processor could sport a 24-cores, 32-threads configuration, while its base and boost clock is listed as 1.9GHz and 3.89GHz, respectively. Although, it likely that that could change before the CPU is announced and becomes more widely available.
