Altimet and manager Yasmeen Zainal combine forces to launch SVLTAN Management

Having started off her career in the entertainment industry from the early 90’s, it only made sense for Yasmeen Zainal to eventually venture into her role as an Artiste Manager at Kartel Records, where she worked with multiple talents, including award-winning rapper, songwriter and producer, Altimet.

Yasmeen who is the CEO of SVLTAN Management, attributes the reason behind wanting to start her own management company, to Altiment. “I’ve always been passionate about the entertainment industry, and being his manager gave me further insight into how it all works,” she said. “It was a 360 role that covered every aspect of his career, and it’s been amazing to watch it all grow.”

After working seamlessly together over the past 7 years, Altimet knew that Yasmeen’s talents could be pushed beyond her role. The creative multimedia graduate had proven herself time and time again- as the Executive Producer for 3 of his albums, stage manager to 2 of his performances at Anugerah Juara Lagu, tour manager for his shows in London and the US- all this, on top of securing endorsement deals, handling his branding and marketing, as well as working together with the media and various global companies.

It was an easy decision for the power duo behind his successful career and ‘The Last Altimet Show’ (which was Altimet’s final concert, and the first full length hip-hop concert in Malaysia to feature a live band and 20 featured artists) to start their own company, SVLTAN Management.

“What makes SVLTAN Management different? It’ll definitely be our combined 35 years of experience in the entertainment industry, we know everything inside out, and we’re ready to grow beyond that,” said the company’s Creative Director, Altimet. “We’re ready to shake it up and set up a whole new industry benchmark for our friends in the Malaysian entertainment industry.”

SVLTAN Management’s core business includes artist management and ookings, as well as branding and creative industry consultancy services and entertainment marketing consultation.

“We kicked off the business when COVID-19 hit earlier last year, and we’re extremely grateful that we’ve still managed to run the company, despite the many challenges the pandemic brought,” Yasmeen said. “Ideally, we would have loved to have officially launched SVLTAN earlier, but we wanted to prioritize our talents and focus on the growth of the business first.”

For now, SVLTAN Management has five local talents under them, namely Altimet himself, celebrity chef Sherson Lian, radio announcer Haniff Hamzah and singers, Hazama and Saint Kylo (who you might remember from Ryot Jones). We can expect to see more of them in 2021, as they have some exciting projects planned for this year.
