AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Available Starting 20 April; Retails For US$449

Just as AMD promised earlier in the year, the chipmaker is finally bringing the Ryzen 7 5800X3D to the masses. The latest Zen3-powered processor will be available from 20 April onwards.

As a quick primer, the 5800X3D is, once again, based off the Zen3 CPU architecture like its brethren, but what sets this particular processor apart from the crowd is the new 3D V-Cache chiplet design, which features an additional 64MP of L3 Cache, stacked on top of each other. Beyond that, the CPU features the same 8-cores, 16-threads as its non-V-Cache sibling, the same 105W TDP, but a lower base and boost clock of 3.4GHz and 4.5GHz, respectively.

As to how much it will cost, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D will retail for US$449 (~1885) upon hitting the shelves.

For another matter and as an extra added bonus, AMD also announced that it will be adding an additional six more Ryzen CPUs to its portfolio; three of them will be based on the last generation Zen2 architecture, while the remaining three will be based on Zen3.

The three Zen2 CPUs are the Ryzen 3 4100, Ryzen 5 4500, and Ryzen 5 4600G, with the latter being the one SKU of this particular bunch to offer integrated Radeon Graphics cores. As for new Zen3 CPUs, these include the Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 5600, and Ryzen 7 5700X.

Pricing starts from US$99 (~RM415) for the Ryzen 3 4100 and goes all the way up to US$299 (~RM1255) for the 5700X. They are also slated for availability from 4 April onwards.
