AMD Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs Now Available In Malaysia; Starts From RM2799
AMD’s Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs are now officially available in Malaysia. The CPU and GPU maker will be bringing two of the three SKUs into the country, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D, with no word as to when or if the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be arriving on our shores.
As a quick primer, AMD pulled back the curtain on its Ryzen 7000X3D CPU lineup back during CES 2023. The difference between them and its non-3D products is that these processors are fortified with the chipmaker’s 3D V-Cache technology, effectively tripling the amount of L3 Cache memory on each unit.
The 7950X3D is the top-of-the-line SKU of the lineup and as its namesake indicates, the CPU is a variation of the 7950X. As with all Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs, the processor is based AMD’s 5nm Zen4 CPU architecture. Specs-wise, it has a 16-cores, 32-threads design; a base and boost clock of 4.2GHz and 5.7GHz, respectively; a 120W TDP, which is significantly lower than its non-3D counterpart; and an L3 Cache of 128MB.
The 7900X3D is the 700X3D lineup’s second most powerful CPU, featuring a 12-cores, 24-threads configuration, a base and boost clock of 4.4GHz and 5.6GHz, respectively, an L3 Cache of 128MB, and an maximum TDP of 120W.
As we’ve mentioned time and time again, one of the drawbacks of the Ryzen 7000X3D CPU series is that, unlike its non-3D counterparts, they lack the ability to be physically or traditionally overclocked, but as per an earlier report, overclocker Skatterbencher managed to push the CPU the 7950X3D “overclock” said CPU through a relatiely complicated song and dance number with Precision Boost Overdrive 2 and the EXPO RAM configurations.
The AMD Ryzen 7950X3D will retail at an SRP of RM3299, while the 7900X3D will be priced at RM2799. As for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, we’ve been told that the CPU will only be arriving into our market sometime in Q2 of this year, but no specific date was provided.
