ASUS Launches New TUF Gaming And Prime A620 Motherboards

ASUS is officially launching its TUF Gaming and Prime A620 motherboards, starting today. The new motherboards are also a part of AMD’s newly announced entry-level A620 motherboard lineup.

Starting with the TUF Gaming A620, the motherboard comes in a micro-ATX form factor and comes with two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for storage purposes, along with a USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port that supports 5Gbps connectivity. That said, the A620M also comes equipped with a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module, making it an ideal choice for DIY PC builders that wish to keep wired connectivity to a minimal and for those that are able to take advantage of Wi-Fi 6E.

The ASUS A620M Plus Wi-Fi is available starting today and retails for RM689.

Next in line is the Prime A620M-A. A micro-ATX board as well, ASUS’ Prime series have always been about striking a balance between price, performance, and features. Because it has a starting retail SRP of RM559, this makes it the perfect option for individuals that really want to keep costs down while still retaining several premium features that are offered by the AM5 chipset.

Like its B660 and X670 Series motherboard series, the A620 series are built to support AMD’s latest Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs, which in turn is based on the new AM5 chipset. Since the advent of the Ryzen architecture, the A-Series motherboards have long been known as the chipmaker’s entry-level motherboard series. That being said, the A620 motherboard series has been updated to run with the latest standards, including the use of the DDR5 EXPO memory at speeds upwards of 6000MHz. For that matter, it also supports memory overclocking.

While the A620 motherboard lineup does not support the more recent PCIe 5.0 interface, it still supports the current PCIe 4.0 interface, meaning that consumers are still able to take advantage of the NVMe Gen4 speeds and graphics cards that are designed to make full use of the interface standard. Further, these same motherboards are also open for CPU overclocking, thus providing overclocking enthusiasts with a more affordable overclocking alternative and platform.
