GO Communications has been appointed to handle social media and digital communications initiatives for The Linc, arguably Kuala Lumpur’s trendiest retail, dining, leisure and entertainment hub, featuring an industrial chic design centred around nature.
The year-long contract will see the agency managing a varied scope of digital and social media initiatives, including content planning and creation, the development and management of The Linc’s social media channels as well as digital and social media advertising.
The appointment comes as The Linc celebrates its second anniversary this month, amidst steadily-growing popularity amongst locals and expatriates alike.
Located at the intersection of Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur’s city centre, the centre features more than 120,000 square feet of retail space, and is “home” to a number of established retail, lifestyle and dining outlets including De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan, Bo Dining, Shu Xiang Lou, Passion Fit, Oasis Urban Farming, The Artisan House, Hauntu by Breakout, Ben’s Independent Grocer and Trinity Kids, among others.
What truly sets The Linc apart from other developments of its kind is its unique design and commitment to sustainable practices and the community.
Walking into its premises, one cannot help but feel mesmerised by The Linc’s rustic charm inspired by the concept of a country barn. Raw concrete walls, black steel fittings and herringbone brick flooring create a warm and relaxed atmosphere while vertical glass panels are paired with classic red bricks render a classic retro feel. The result is an urban retreat which quite literally offers a breath of fresh air amidst the vicinity’s surrounding skyscrapers.
This is owed particularly to The Linc’s pioneering biophilic design, heightening human interaction with the outdoors.
The design and construction of The Linc took painstaking consideration of its natural environment, preserving six decades-old trees on the original site, including a monumental Bodhi tree flourishing at the heart of the building.
This is further complemented by a series of nature-inspired murals as well as art installations and 3D-effect graphic designs.
The Linc’s community-centric offering is propelled by a number of unique initiatives for society and community at large.
These include group painting workshops, bazaars and handicraft workshops organised by social enterprises.
More recently, The Linc has also witnessed busking performances, a Mid-Autumn bazaar and a collector toy fair.
