Lenovo has officially several new 2022 Yoga devices in Malaysia including the Yoga 7i and Yoga 9i convertible laptops as well as the more traditional Yoga Slim 7i Pro. All of these seventh-generation Yoga devices come standard with the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors.

Equipped with a 14-inch 16:10 touch display, the Yoga 7i can be configured with either a 2.2K IPS panel or a 2.8K 90Hz OLED panel, with the latter option supporting Dolby Vision and a higher peak brightness of 500 nits.  It also has a webcam with IR capabilities for facial recognition and users can choose to add the optional fingerprint reader if they require even more security for the laptop.

Customers can choose to equip the Yoga 7i with either Intel Core i5-1235U, i5-1240P, i7-1255U, or i7-1260P as well as up to 16GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB solid state drive. All Yoga 7i variants rely on the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics although when it comes to connectivity, the Core i5 version supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 while the Core i7 variant can go up to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Also equipped with four speakers that have been enhanced with Doly Atmos, the Yoga 7i comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a single USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Lenovo claims that the laptop can last up to 18 hours with video playback and can obtain enough battery juice for three hours of usage with just 15 minutes of charging time using the 65W charger.

Onto the Yoga 9i, it also has a 14-inch 16:10 touch display with three configurations including Full HD LCD panel, a 2.8K OLED panel, and a 4K OLED panel although all still have a peak brightness of 400 nits and a 60Hz refresh rate. Just like the Yoga 7i, this laptop has an IR hybrid webcam for facial login and a fingerprint reader along the column of one-click function keys.

Under the hood, the laptop can be configured with either an Intel Core i5-1240P or a Core i7-1260P processor which also features Intel Iris Xe Graphics within them. Alongside 16GB of RAM as well as up to 1TB of SSD, the Yoga 9i has two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a single USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, and an audio jack together with the support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Lenovo made full use of the 9i’s convertible form factor and engineered the speakers right into the 360-degree hinge, tuned by Bowers & Wilkins with support for Dolby Atmos. As for the battery life, the company claims it can last up to 23 hours with video playback and can get an additional two hours of usage from 15 minutes of charging using the included 100W charger.

Last but not least, there is the Yoga Slim 7i Pro with a 14-inch 16:10 IPS non-touch display with 2.2K and 2.8K options, with the latter getting a 90Hz refresh rate. Unlike the other devices in the Yoga lineup, the Slim is not a convertible and only has a 180-degree hinge, meaning it can’t be transformed into tablet mode.
