Netflix Adds Four New Games This Month

Netflix games May 2022

Ever since Netflix announced its intentions to expand into mobile gaming, it has been slowly growing its catalogue of games. And the streaming giant has four more titles to add to the ever growing list this month. In fact, three of them will be available this week.

The first of the games available now is Dragon Up. Probably the simplest in premise of them all, what you do here is collect rare dragons, as the name would imply. But this involves expanding your kingdom and unlocking more land to find more exotic dragon habitats.

Then there’s Moonlighter. It’s a pretty fitting name, even if it’s not the most intuitive one at first. As Netflix describes it, you manage a village shop during the day, but once night comes, you’ll do the usual adventurer activities like exploring dungeons and slaying monsters. Which actually makes for a surprisingly convincing gameplay loop, as you can use the shop to fund your adventures, and vice versa.

Finally, there’s Townsmen – A Kingdom Rebuilt. This is a mobile port of a game with the same name, originally available on PC and the Nintendo Switch. The idea here is to expand your small starting village into a massive medieval metropolis, as Netflix describes it. Like any other city builder game, this involves the managing of your settlers and resources like food.

As for the game that will be available later in the month, this is the mobile version of the card game known as Exploding Kittens. For those who are unaware of the rules, this is a card game where you have to avoid drawing the eponymous exploding kitten card, with a few ways to defuse it when you inevitably do.

The mobile version boasts two exclusive cards, Radar and Flip Flip. The first reveals to players the position of the Exploding Kitten closest to the top of the deck, while the latter reverses the order of the cards in the deck.
