New Sony Bravia XR TV Line-Up Available In Malaysia Next Month; Starts From RM10,699

Sony Bravia XR TV Malaysia Price

Sony Malaysia today has announced that its new 2023 Bravia XR TV line-up will be coming to Malaysia in June this year. These consist of three series: the X95L, X90L and A80L, with the latter offered in three different sizes. Regardless, all of which feature the brand’s updated Cognitive Processor XR for an enhanced viewing experience.

The first from the line-up is the Sony Bravia XR X95L which comes with a 85-inch Mini LED panel, along with onboard acoustic multi-audio that consists of two mid-range speakers, two tweeters, and two subwoofers. The XR X90L model, on the other hand, comes with a 65-inch Full Array LED display, as well as an audio system with two full range speakers and two tweeters. Then there’s the A80L series, which comprises the 55-inch XR-55A80L, 65-inch XR-65A80L and 77-inch XR-77A80L variants that feature OLED panels all across, along with three actuators and two subwoofers as part of their speaker configuration.

Regardless of model, all of the aforementioned offer 4K (3840 x 2160 pixel) resolution, variable refresh rates (VRR) of up to 100Hz, as well as HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision compatibility. Similarly, they also come with Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS Digital Surround support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, four HDMI ports, an S-Centre Speaker mini jack, and two USB ports.

As mentioned earlier, the 2023 Sony Bravia XR TV line-up is equipped with the brand’s updated Cognitive Processor XR, which enables for better backlight control for increased local dimming zones, increased brightness and decreased blooming. Certain models also feature the all-new XR Clear Image feature that improves noise reduction and clarity with motion, reducing blur and creating scenes bursting with action.

For audio, each model features the brand’s Acoustic Center Sync function, which synchronises their onboard audio system with the centre channel of a compatible Sony soundbar. Also available is the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping feature that generates “phantom speakers” and sound field optimisation through paired soundbars. Additionally, the X95L model in particular comes with Sony’s Acoustic Multi-Audio+ which uses its frame tweeters to elevate sound to match the image on screen, while the A80L models feature Acoustic Surface Audio+ with actuators that vibrate to produce sound from the entire screen.

Other features include Auto HDR Tone Mapping, a fully customisable Game Menu and the all-new Screen Size setting to optimise image output for gaming, as well as the built-in Bravia Cam function which automatically adjusts picture and sound according to the room environment and seating location. Last but not least, all TVs from the 2023 Bravia XR line-up also come with Google TV, which is powered by the Android TV operating system.

According to Sony Malaysia, all five Bravia XR TV models are slated to be available locally sometime in June. The Bravia XR X95L will retail at RM26,999, while the 55-inch XR-55A80L, 65-inch XR-65A80L and 77-inch XR-77A80L are priced at RM10,699, RM14,599 and RM22,999 respectively. Pricing for the The XR X90L model has yet to be confirmed, however.
