ASUS broke new grounds last year by introducing the ROG Swift 500 Hz, which was the world’s first ever monitor to offer an insanely fast refresh rate. As revealed as part of its CES 2023 announcements, the company has done it again by introducing a new display known as the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP which, again, is the first of its kind to offer an even faster rate of 540 Hz.

Much like its predecessor, the newer model features a 24.1-inch TN screen with considerably thin surrounding bezels, except for the area on its “chin”. In order to accommodate its impressive 540 Hz overclocked refresh rate, the ROG Swift Pro could only support a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. That being said, it does offer 90% coverage of DCI-P3 colour gamut, NVIDIA G-Sync, and NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer support.

Besides that, found onboard are HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, as well as an ESS Quad DAC for reducing audio latency. ASUS innovated on the ROG Swift Pro’s stand as well, allowing users to swing its legs outwards to free up desktop space in order to move their keyboard and mouse closer to the monitor.

Moving on, the brand also introduced the ROG Strix XG49WCR ultra-wide monitor, which features a massive 49-inch panel with 1800R curve. In addition, it is capable of displaying 5120 x 1440 pixel resolution, supports a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and comes with AMD FreeSync Premium out of the box. Connectivity-wise, the device comes with numerous ports for DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet, as well as a Smart KVM switch and a USB hub with 65-watt power delivery support via USB-C.

Next up is the ROG Swift PG32UQXR, which is the first monitor from ASUS to support DisplayPort 2.1, and comes with HDMI 2.1 as well. Apart from that, it is equipped with a 32-inch mini LED panel that is capable of displaying 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels, and has a refresh rate of 160 Hz. The monitor can also hit a maximum of 1000 nits brightness and achieve 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Last but not least is the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM monitor, which features a 27-inch WQHD OLED panel that can output 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, as well as boasting a 0.03 ms response time and 240 Hz refresh rate. ASUS says this particular model also comes built-in with an optimised cooling system that improves OLED panel longevity.

In terms of availability, the company mentioned that the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM and ROG Swift Pro PG248QP are expected to be released during the first and second quarter of 2023 respectively. Meanwhile, ASUS has yet to confirm the release dates for the ROG Strix XG49WCR and ROG Swift PG32UQXR. Pricing for all four monitors are still undisclosed, and their availability in regions such as our own has yet to be determined.
