NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Rumoured To Ship Out With 8GB GDDR6, 220W TDP

New rumours about an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti have made their way online, marking the first time any mention of the alleged mid-range GPU has arisen. The rumours were leaked by popular hardware leakster, Kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi), who is known for their stellar track record when it comes to these things.

Kopite’s recent tweet lists down the supposed internal specifications of the RTX 4060 Ti. Specifically, the card will be based on an AD106-350-A1 GPU that, if we go by NVIDIA’s standards of categorising its GPUs, is used for mid-ranged GPUs. Additionally, the card is expected to feature 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory, running at a frequency of 18Gbps.

The alleged RTX 4060 Ti is also expected to ship out with 4353 CUDA cores, 32MB L2 Cache, and a TDP of 220W, which is 30W lower than the rumoured RTX 4070 that the leakster recently posted about as well. A rather interesting note to pay attention to is that Kopite says that the PCB of this mid-tier graphics card is expected to be short, and even smaller than the RTX 4070 series.

To that end, NVIDIA may still retain its unique V-shaped PCB for the RTX 4060 Ti and at the same time, it will reportedly continue to use its proprietary 16-pin 12VHPWR power connector to power the card. In other words, all RTX 40 series cards will be expected to use this adapter as their primary source of power, moving forward and regardless of AIB partner.

Beyond that, there is no additional detail about the RTX 4060 Ti, neither are there any images or renders that would give us an idea what it would look like nor how much its Founders Edition design would differ from the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. For context, the Dual Axial Flow through design on the higher-end RTX 30 Series were different, with the RTX 3090, 3080, and 3070 Ti sporting the inverted fans, while the RTX 3070 and 3060 Ti had both their fans installed at the front.

There is also no news as to when the RTX 4060 Ti will be launching, but given that NVIDIA will be launching its RTX 40 Series laptop GPU series next month during CES 2023, it’s likely that the card will receive its official launch a few months after that.
