OnePlus Ace 2V Unveiled In China With Dimensity 9000, 80W Charging
OnePlus has added a new device to its 2023 lineup in China called the OnePlus Ace 2V. The mid-range smartphone is placed below the Ace 2, also known as the 11R in India, and comes with an even more affordable price tag.
The OnePlus ACE 2V is equipped with a curved 6.74-inch 2772×1240 AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,450 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. For protection, it uses Asahi Glass on the screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back, but it seems to lack any rating for dust and water resistance.
As for the internals, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset with between 12GB and 16GB of RAM as well as a maxed-out configuration with 512GB of flash storage. Connectivity-wise, the device supports Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and even the LHDC codec, although LHDC is only supported when using the OPPO Enco X series and OnePlus Buds Pro series earbuds.
The back of the phone sports a three-camera setup comprised of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens — none of the cameras have optical image stabilisation (OIS). Up front, the Ace 2V houses a 16MP selfie shooter.
Powering the mid-ranger is a large 5,000mAh battery along with support for 80W wired fast charging. It comes in green and black options and ships with ColorOS 13.0 based on Android 13, although the global version will most likely run on OxygenOS instead.
The OnePlus Ace 2V will be available in China on 13 March with a starting price of CNY2,299 (~RM1,490) for the base 12GB+256GB version and tops out at CNY2,799 (~RM1,815) for the 16GB+512GB variant. There’s no official word yet on when it might come to the international market, but a leakster has claimed the phone will be rebranded as the Nord 3 for a global launch in July.
