POCO F5 Series Leaks In Its Entirety; Pro To Get Smaller Battery Than Redmi K60

POCO F5 Pro

POCO just recently confirmed the launch date for its highly-anticipated F5 series, but weeks before its unveiling, images of the phones have been leaked, revealing the designs in their entirety. The images were tweeted by leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore, who also claimed some interesting specs about the Pro.

It has long been rumoured that the POCO F5 Pro will just be a rebranded Redmi K60, and from the looks of it, that may actually be true. Ambhore alleges that the two phones are pretty much identical in specs with one notable exception.

If the leak is to be believed, the Pro variant will sport a 1440p 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, it will be running on last-gen’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

On the camera side, the back will sport a 64MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP sensor while the front will house a 16MP selfie shooter. The only major difference between the POCO F5 Pro and the Redmi K60 is the battery, where it will be powered by a 5,160mAh battery instead of 5,500mAh with support for 67W wired charging and 30W wireless charging.

Claims of the vanilla POCO F5 being a rebadged Redmi Note 12 Turbo also seem to hold water with the leaked images as well as the official teaser from the brand. Snapdragon India already confirmed that the F5 will be packed with the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, the same as the Redmi device.

The POCO F5 lineup will officially be launched on 9 May, but it’s still unclear when it will be making its way to the Malaysian market. We’ll most likely see the F5 Pro on our shores soon seeing as how it has already received SIRIM certification, but there’s no clue yet on whether we’ll also be getting the base F5 variant.
