Prashant Kumar one in five individuals globally who received IAA Award in 2020

Entropia founder and senior partner, Prashant Kumar, has been awarded the International Advertising Association (IAA) “Champion” Compass Award 2020 for his contributions and achievements in the global marketing communications industry.

This specific accolade is only awarded to five people in the world, each year and other recipients this year are:  Tom Doctoroff, Global Senior Advisor of Prophet USA; Maruisz Jan Demner, Founder & CEO, Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann, Austria; Joel Nettey, Chief Executive Officer, The Ninani Group, Ghana; and Walid Kanafani, Managing Partner, Beyond Consulting Services, Kuwait.

“The IAA has managed to build a genuine sense of community and dialogue in the industry as the association consistently works hard to build professional standards and a spirit of intellectual sophistication towards a better future together,” said Prashant. “It’s been an honour and joy to belong here.”

One of the fastest growing agencies in the region, Entropia’s success is hugely attributed to Prashant’s unique perspective born out of a cross-over between the online and offline worlds. Known as a consulting-meets-agency, the company now serves over 65 clients and 230 people and handles the South-East Asian campaigns of multiple globally renowned brands.

“The IAA is primarily a people organisation and the IAA Compass Awards pay tribute to our outstanding members for their many achievements and services to advance the IAA globally as well as to make a difference impacting the worldwide arena of marketing communications,” said IAA Chairman and World President, Srinivasan Swamy. “They have contributed their leadership and professional expertise and inspired the marcoms community with vision, passion, energy and committed action.”

A one-time dotcom entrepreneur, Prashant has been a renowned thought leader in the areas of marketing in the digital age for over two decades. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School, St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and MICA, Ahmedabad in India; has served on the Cannes Media Lions jury as one of the youngest, and has been a speaker at leading global industry events such as DMEXCO Germany and the Festival of Media Global, Rome. Before founding Entropia, he ran IPG Mediabrands as President, Asia from 2012 to 2016.
