Spikes Asia brings the Spikes Awards forward to Feb 2021

Spikes Asia has announced that the 2021 awards will take place in February, bringing them forward to the first quarter of the year.

Judging for the Spikes Asia Awards, the region’s most prestigious creative branded communications accolade, as well as the Tangrams Awards and Young Spikes competitions will all take place in February 2021.

In place of the live Awards ceremony, winners will be announced that month via the Spikes Asia online platform, along with the launch of the first Spikes Asia Creativity Report, presenting regional rankings and analysis of 2021 winners benchmarking creative excellence. Spikes Asia is judged by a diverse set of world-class juries from across APAC and the globe.

Atifa Silk, Managing Director at Haymarket Media Asia, says, Our decision to bring the Spikes Awards forward to February was made in consultation with our community. Our hope is that the move in date, along with the launch of the Spikes Asia Creativity Report, will support the APAC industry to benchmark their work at a regional level before Cannes Lions in June.”

In support of APAC young talent, the Young Spikes Competition (Integrated and Film categories) will be open to all creative young people aged 30 and younger. Both competitions will be conducted fully online. The competition will open for registration in September 2020, more information to be released closer to date.

Tangrams Strategy & Effectiveness Awards @ Spikes will open for entries on 6 October 2020. The 2021 Awards will have an eligibility period of 1 March 2019 to 31 January 2021.

All Spikes Asia Awards will run in 2021 and entries open on 28 October 2020. The 2021 Awards will have a longer eligibility period in the first year and will cover work from 1 July 2019 to 31 January 2021.
