Air Selangor: Water supply fully restored in Gombak, underway at other locations

PETALING JAYA: The water supply has been fully restored in Gombak as well as in Kuala Selangor and parts of Klang and Shah Alam as of 10am on Sunday (Feb 12), says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

It adds that this brings the level of restoration to 31% of areas affected.

“The duration of the water supply recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location and distance of consumers’ premises,” it said.

“Air Selangor also hopes that consumers who have received the water supply will use it prudently to ensure that the water supply recovery process in the affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled,” it said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

This comes after the Sungai Selangor Phase 1,2, 3 and Rantau Panjang water treatment plants were forced to be shut down due to odour pollution at the Rantau Panjang water treatment plant.

The affected areas include eight Air Selangor regions, namely Petaling (370 areas), Kuala Lumpur (186 areas), Gombak (279 areas), Hulu Selangor (28 areas), Klang and Shah Alam (189 areas), Kuala Langat (3 areas) and Kuala Selangor (280 areas).

The four water treatment plants resumed operations at 6.30am on Sunday

Consumers may refer to all of Air Selangor’s official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300, while inquiries and complaints can also be submitted to the Help Centre via https://hentitugas.airselangor.com/.
