HULU SELANGOR: All outdoor activities, including camping, around Batang Kali have been instructed to stop immediately following the landslide early Friday (Dec 16).
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail (pic) said the Hulu Selangor OCPD has issued the directive to all nearby campsites and locations.

“It is a precaution as we want to prevent any more people from falling victim.
“All outdoor activities around the landslide area must stop immediately while other campsites have been ordered to stop receiving new customers and visitors,” he told reporters after visiting the operations centre for the landslide on Friday.

Saifuddin said although camping is popular among Malaysians, it was better to postpone such activities until authorities can ascertain the area is safe.
