Civil servants to get ‘good news’ soon, says PM

PUTRAJAYA: There will be “good news” for civil servants soon, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said he would make the announcement at a gathering with civil servants on Aug 30.

“God willing, we have a happy announcement to relieve their concerns at the event,” he said at a Keluarga Malaysia symposium on Sunday (Aug 21).

The Prime Minister said at times when the country faced problems, the country’s security agencies would be at hand to serve without haste and with full dedication

“The government appreciates sacrifices by civil servants under the leadership of Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali,” he said.

Ismail Sabri said the government plans to strengthen Parliament and Judicial institutions and to table the Political Funding Act for a healthier political landscape in the country.

He said there are still plans that have yet to be implemented by the government.

“There are still groups that we need to assist, be it the poor, women, the physically disabled. I hope we will continue with our commitment and determination to strengthen the administration, work on economic recovery so that the people will benefit from it,” he said.
