Dr Wee congratulates MCA reps over Johor state exco posts

JOHOR BARU: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) has congratulated Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon and Paloh assemblyman Lee Ting Han on their appointments to the Johor state executive council.

Both Ling and Lee have been appointed after getting Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar’s consent.

In a Facebook post, the Transport Minister said Ling, who was also the state MCA Youth chief, was put in charge of the health and unity portfolio while Lee would be handling investment, trade and consumer affairs.

“I thanked His Majesty for appointing Ling and Lee to the state executive council,” he said.

Dr Wee also thanked Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Johor Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad and new Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi for their trust and support as well as cooperation to MCA.

“The party promises to work hard and to return the people’s support from the Johor election and to ensure that the people and the state remain stable and prosperous in the future,” he said.
