Four hurt in accident near Kota Tinggi

KOTA TINGGI: Four people have been injured in a two-vehicle accident along the Kota Tinggi-Felda Pasak road near here.

The Johor Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said it received an emergency call on the incident at 10.18pm on Wednesday (Aug 24).

“The accident involved two cars,” Kota Tinggi fire station chief Rafiee A. Karim said in a statement on Thursday (Aug 25).

He added that seven firemen from the station were sent to the scene in two vehicles.

Rafiee said the 55-year-old driver of one car and its two passengers, aged 37 and 41, had been taken to hospital by a Health Ministry ambulance before the Fire and Rescue team arrived.

“We had to use special equipment to rescue the 21-year-old driver of the second car, who was trapped inside,” he added.

Rafiee said the team then sent the freed motorist to hospital in its emergency medical response services vehicle and the operation ended at 11.06pm.
