Gedong now officially a district, satellite town for Samarahan, says Abang Jo

KUCHING: Gedong is now officially a new district in Sarawak, says Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

The Sarawak Chief Minister said this will allow Gedong to have a more organised and detailed administrative structure.

“It will also be a satellite town for the Samarahan area,” he said Sunday (Dec 12).

He also said that Gedong was the latest of five new districts gazetted in Sarawak this year. The other four are Siburan, Sebuyau, Lingga and Pantu. – Bernama
