Malaysians bid farewell to Olivia Newton-John

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians reacted with sorrow on the news of British born, Australian singer Olivia Newton-John’s death, with many taking to Twitter and reminiscing about growing up listening to her hits.

“Rest in peace ONJ…one of my favourite all time artistes…who could forget prancing around ‘Physical’, thinking it was all about exercising? She had the voice of an angel,” said Lynn Choo@lynnckl.

“Rest in peace@oliviwnj. She walks in and I’m suddenly a hero. I am taken in, my hopes begin to rise. Look at me, can’t you tell I’d be so thrilled to see,” said Average Joe @ elzalyff.

Newton-John, 73, a four-time Grammy winner, died at her home in Southern California on Monday (Aug 8).
