MMEA recovers four unidentified bodies over two days in waters off Kota Tinggi

KOTA TINGGI: The bodies of four unidentified men have been found floating in waters near here in the past two days.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Tanjung Sedili deputy director (operations) Mohd Najib Sam said the first two bodies were found near Pulau Lima here at 12.50pm and 1.10pm on Tuesday (June 14).

On Wednesday (June 15), the third body was found 8.6 nautical miles (15.9km) north-east of Tanjung Balau at around 10.30am, he said.

“A fisherman alerted us about the third sighting and we sent an asset to the location to retrieve the body.

“After that, the fourth body was found some 16 nautical miles (29.6km) north-east of Tanjung Sedili Besar at around 12.40pm on the same day based on information from another fisherman,” he said in a statement Thursday (June 16).
