Papar mosque razed by fire on Wednesday (July 27)

KOTA KINABALU: A mosque in Papar was razed by fire in the wee hours on Wednesday (July 27).

The Fire and Rescue Department received the report at 3.38am, where firefighters were sent to Nurul Iman mosque at Sabindo there to put out the blaze.

However, no casualties were reported.

“The 40×80 feet mosque of semi-permanent structure, was 95% burnt down. The fire was under control by 4.26am, and the operation was completed by 07.17am,” said a Fire and Rescue spokesperson.
