PBM to field candidates in Sarawak for GE15, says president

SIBU: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will be fielding candidates in Sarawak for the 15th General Election (GE15), says its president Datuk Larry Sng.

Sng was quoted as saying this in the New Sarawak Tribune on Friday (Aug 26), that PBM, which intends to join Barisan Nasional, will be contesting all incumbent seats, including Julau.

Sng said this to Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin, who apparently had been misunderstood regarding seats in Sarawak for the election.

“I spoke to Zuraida after the press conference in Kuching yesterday. Her comment has been misinterpreted… As for now, PBM will be contesting all incumbent seats, including Julau,” he said.

Sng said he was ready to defend his seat.

Zuraida had at a press conference in Kuching on Thursday (Aug 25), said the party’s focus was on joining Barisan Nasional and the coalition was not present in Sarawak.
