Perlis govt plans to set up public complaints portal

KANGAR: The Perlis government is mulling setting up its own public complaints portal to make it easier for the people to lodge complaints.

State executive council (exco) member in charge of the Coordination of Integrated Enforcement and Public Complaints, Izizam Ibrahim said the move would also further improve the response efficiency of agencies and departments in the state in helping the people.

“The matter is still in the proposal stage as various aspects have to be looked into, especially on the state government’s financial capabilities,” he said when contacted by Bernama on Wednesday (Feb 22).

The Titi Tinggi Assemblyman said the portal would also serve as a channel for the public to give their opinion and views, as well as express their appreciation, to the government. – Bernama
