Sarawak parties PSB and PBK ink GE15 pact

SIBU: Local-based Opposition parties Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) and Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) will be working together in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).

It is learnt that PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh and his PBK counterpart Voon Lee Shan signed a memorandum of understanding on their GE15 collaboration in Kuching on Monday (Sept 19).

PBK secretary-general Priscilla Lau said in a statement the parties will avoid contesting against each other and splitting votes.

“PSB and PBK have heard the voters’ voices where multi-cornered fights are concerned,” she said.

Lau said it is of utmost importance that Sarawak’s voice be heard in Parliament.

” As Sarawak-based parties, we are able to bring local issues to the Federal arena and strenuously push our agendas through without fear or favour.

“GE15 is round the corner. We urge Sarawakians to stand with us and vote us into the Federal Government,” she said.
