Sarawak Polls: GPS candidate for Kota Sentosa pledges to speak up against unfairness

KUCHING: Describing himself as a stickler for the rules, Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s Wilfred Yap has pledged to ensure fair policies for all.

The candidate for Kota Sentosa in the upcoming Sarawak state election said this is his commitment if he becomes the elected representative for the constituency.

“If there are procedures or policies that contravene existing legislation, I will be the first to point them out.

“If there are laws that are unfair to the people regardless of race or religion, I will be the first to speak out. That is my commitment,” he was quoted as saying by the Dayak Daily.

The Kota Sentosa state seat has been under the Opposition for almost 16 years with DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen as its assemblyman.

Polling is on Saturday (Dec 18).
