Selangor tops disaster victims list in Nadma report

PETALING JAYA: The National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) has released the latest report on the number of victims affected by natural disasters in the country as of 8am on Saturday (Nov 12).

The report, which was uploaded on Facebook, indicated that Selangor tops in terms of the number of victims with a total of 903 individuals, comprising 217 families.

Kedah comes in second with a total of 233 victims, encompassing 60 families followed by Penang (75 victims); Kelantan (62 victims) and Johor (57 victims).

Melaka recorded the lowest number of disaster victims at 29.

The report also revealed that a total of 1,359 individuals comprising 345 families were affected by natural disasters throughout the country.

A total of 23 transfer centres were available in the affected areas, it added.
