HONG Kong singer Hins Cheung (pic) is believed to have spent several million Hong Kong dollars buying up his own concert tickets to prevent them from falling into the hands of scalpers, reported China Press.

To cut down on tickets being resold in the secondary market at excessive rates, a portion of the tickets for Cheung’s concert on Dec 20 can only be purchased by Silver-grade members of the Hins Cheung Fan Club.

A message circulating on Weibo, believed to be from the 41-year-old singer, appears to indicate that he himself had bought all the tickets just so he could secure them for fans.

“Please be informed that all tickets sold through the Hins Cheung Fan Club have first been bought by me before being sold (on the fan club).

“To ensure everyone can get a ticket, I spent several million last year to get the physical tickets before we dared to sell them via the fan club.

“There are many rules and regulations in organising a concert. There are some things I can change but some I cannot.

“I hope you can understand that the tickets sold on Hins Cheung Fan Club did not come easy,” he wrote.

The Revisit Hins Cheung Live concert tour is set to be held between Dec 20 and Jan 2 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Only a portion of the tickets for the Dec 20 performance are sold through the fan club while the rest are open for public sale.

While the two are hardly seen together in public due to their busy schedules, paparazzi managed to film them in an affectionate moment as they left their friend Jing Boran’s house in China.

Fans were excited as the couple were only able to reunite last year after the pandemic, which happened shortly after their marriage in 2019.
