Terence Naidu says ‘quitting DAP’ report is fake

IPOH: Pasir Bedamar assemblyman Terence Naidu (pic) has shot down a report online which supposedly quoted him denying to be the state representative arrested at a nightclub in Perai, Penang.

In a short text reply to The Star when queried about the report, the two-term state assemblyman said: “Fake”.

According to the portal, Terence, 54, was reported to have said that the “allegation” of his arrest was politically motivated.

He was also reported to have said that he was prepared to quit DAP to support Perikatan Nasional while also “promising” to clear his name in court.

Terence was among 48 people arrested by police on Thursday (Jan 13) and tested positive for drugs along with 35 others.

He is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
